Marine geophysics: We can provide a fully managed service to deliver survey, interpretation and reporting, or we can assess and interpret geophysical survey data gathered by other contractors. We have extensive experience in the use of marine geophysics for archaeological assessment purposes, including the required specification for surveys. geophysWe recommend advice is sought prior to commissioning survey which will require archaeological assessment to ensure the data is fit for purpose and minimise the risk of having to repeat surveys.

MA Ltd provides advice to offshore industry on sites and features encountered during survey, such as this wooden hulled vessel that remains upright on the seabed within a licensed aggregate extraction area.

Geotechnical assessment: Many marine developments involve the collection of core, bore hole and grab samples. These can inform maritime archaeological assessment. We can provide sample recording, assessment and analysis services.
